**UPDATE** April 16, 2008: Wow. That is all I have to say. I am very sorry to my loyal FAN who has been checking my website regularly. I have completely let you down. There has been so much that has gone on since I last updated. I mean, it would be sad if NOTHING happened since my last update. Here are a few highlights... I had knee surgery. It went well. Into my sixth month, I am starting to run almost everyday and taking yoga classes about two or three times a week. It will be a couple more months until it is 100%, but I am getting stronger and stronger everyday. Dance classes are right around the corner! I signed with a new agent, SUSAN NATHE & ASSOCIATES (323.653.7574), in January. They have sent me out a few times, and in those auditions I went to producers' for "Numb3rs" and booked a recurring role on "The Young & the Restless". "The Young & the Restless". I taped it last month, and the first episode aired April 14th. The next episodes are April 20th, 24th, 27th, & possibly the 28th. It was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to working on a soap set in the near future. I love it very much. July 24, 2008: Today is Thursday. To let you all know. I got back from St. Louis this past weekend, where I hosted "Sandal's III...let it all hang free!" and to celebrate my nephew & niece's baptism. How 'bout a picture from the baptism party? You would like that wouldn't you? I think ya might!
Aren't they a couple of fatheads?! They are four months old, and Brady weighs almost as much as his older brother Jack, who is 2 1/2. My Gramma showed me a picture of me when I was his age, and we look quite a bit a like. I would like to show you a picture from "Sandals III" but I'm not quite sure it is for all viewing audiences, so I will leave you with this visual. Me, Speedo, real tight tank top. Oh yeah, it was HOOOOTTTTTT. Literally, hot. The weather was 95 degrees with about 110 humidity. I started sweating as soon as I got outside. Gotta love St. Louis! On with the... Business: I had two auditions the week before I left for St. Louis. The casting director from CSI: Miami called me in for a quick audition. I think it went fairly well but I did not hear back, so their loss! But it was great to be called in off my picture. It seems they are working a little bit. I was also called in for a play at the Elephant Theatre. I had a real good audition. I was very confident in what I was saying and thought my message was very clear. The director had me read for one of the other characters, which was also nice. I met with my director friend for lunch this week. She was nice enough to take me to GH and have me meet the head casting director. I read for him and got a nice compliment from him. We then went on set and met one of the directors and watched a couple of scenes from the control room. That was quite an experience. It was wonderful to watch the director work and see what they have to do while they are in there. I have worked on "As the World Turns" a few times, but was never invited to the control room to see how it actually works. It is an amazing thing to watch. I loved it. Now I am going to put my focus back into finding an agent. My friend, Courtney, her mom, and the casting director all thought it was odd how I do not have an agent at this time. I have not put much focus on finding one, but now all that will be changing. So, for all you agents out there, and I know you ALL like to read my updates, I am in the market for an agent. You will not be disappointed. PROMISE! Personal: Work at Mirabelle is going well. I have been traveling quite a bit and they have been kind enough to work around my schedule. Like I said before, I was home last weekend, and in a couple of weeks I am heading up to Seattle to hang out with my best friend before he goes to London for a year. It will be my first time in Seattle, so I am very much looking forward to it. Wanna send out some props to my cousin Joe who will be trying out for a few ball clubs in the upcoming weeks. Good luck Joe!
July 1, 2008: HAPPY JULY 1st! Hahahahahahaha. That's funny. Don't you think. Over the course of the past few months I may have gained as many fans as I lost, so I still think I am up to FOUR now. And I thank ALL of you! I have very much appreciated the emails saying "its been TOO long since your last update", and "I hope you are alive and well". Thank you. Things are going quite swimmingly. Yes, I used swimmingly. What's it to ya? It's a good word. Short run down of the past few months(not to bore you, I will try to keep it under five words...just kidding. Six.): The play, "The Last Schwartz" ended. The baseball season started. I thought about shaving my head. I went to NY (twice), Toronto, and Las Vegas. Loss my ass in Vegas. Regained it when I got back to L.A. Bought gas. Rearranged the kitchen. Drove up the coast with my Mommy and Gramma. Blew out my knee. Washed my car. And my hair. Found out my pinky finger really is not as long as my index toe. Don't ask. Had a birthday. Had an idea of purchasing a motorcycle. Went to a Dodgers game. Came foot-to-face with two highly venomous spiders of the same species. Laid out. Saw a sight-for-sore-eyes. Mine. So those have been just the few things that have been going on since I last wrote on this beautiful page. When I said six, what I really meant was each sentence under six words. Now, there is no reason to go back to the paragraph and count the words in each sentence, as I know sometimes I am long winded with my sentences, so I am telling you right now there are a few sentences longer than seven words(like this one...geez, will it ever end?!), but not to be alarmed because it was only a goal to get each sentence at six words, which I do not think I obtained yet know I could have if I REALLY wanted. Meanwhile, back at the ranch...that is what has been happening. I am planning a few trips in the next couple of months, and what I would really like to be doing is WORKING AS AN ACTOR. Though, I know I could be a writer...case in point of the written words above this sentence, no? On with the... Business: Not as focused as I have been, but ready to get back to it. Getting a little scared with this SAG strike which may or maynot happen, but I guess that is one of the reasons why I have not been going out. All of the people who have been here longer than me who have agents and managers are getting in while I am primarily working on Actor's Access and going through Synergy-LA. It is not easy without an agent out here. I am not saying it is not possible, because right now that is the only way I can get at it, and it is okay. I thought I had a great opportunity while I was working at the Daytime Emmy Awards two Friday's ago. I reacquainted myself with an old director I knew from a few years back, and attempted to meet for lunch outside of the "scene". Unfortunately, the lunch never happened. But it happens. And the next time it will happen. I thought I could let this go, but I am not quite sure I can. That is enough for now. It feels good to write again. I really hope I do not take this long for the next time. March 14, 2008: Well, I missed her birthday, but I blame it all on being in NY! But here she is folks...with her new cousin...Miss Remington Nouvelle Haegele... These picture sizes are incredibly large, and I am not savvy enough to get them to be on the page without having a thumbnail. I am doing my best to get my headshots that way also. March 4, 2008: On this day, my new nephew, Brady Michael Haegele, was born at 3:30-ish in the a.m. cst. Weighing in at 9 lbs. 2 oz. and 22 in. long, he is a monster! Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing to the Haegele family, Mr. Brady Michael Haegele...
Isn't he just the cutest thing you every saw?!!!!! March 3, 2008: Happy March to my three fans! I am glad to report I have successfully updated my website a little further than JUST writing. Though I hope you like my writings...I will try to be more funny. So leave your comments on the comments page, and tell me what you think of the website. I am hoping to make some major changes to my website in the next couple weeks to make it more viewer friendly, so please be patient with me. I really appreciate it. On with the... Business: Not too shabby. This past weekend was the first weekend for the second extension of "The Last Schwartz". That sentence was hard to write. Anyway, it went very well. We have two new cast members for the roles of BONNIE and HERB. It was their first weekend in the show, and I must say, they were pretty incredible. I look forward to continue working with this great group of actors. We had good houses all weekend long, but could use all your support. I will be gone this weekend from the show, but would love for all of you to come out the following weekend(Friday March 14) and will continue every weekend until the run is over April 27th. I am heading out of town to New York for a few days to do some work. If you are in the New York area, and feel I am right for a part, give me a shout. I will be there until the 13th. I am attempting to put my new headshots on my website, but the file seems to be WAY to big to fit onto my page. Once I figure out how to shrink it enough so it looks okay when I change the file size, I will put my shots on the comments page for your opinions! The headshots look great. I saw the whole shoot, and it was very tough to decide which headshots to choose from, but I think I narrowed it down to my final three. Life: I started behind the bar this past weekend. I felt very comfortable. It was not terribly busy, but it was busy enough for me to work the entire time. I am very excited to have a couple of shifts behind the bar during the week to hone my slinging skills! My sisters are pretty much do! ANY day now I will have a new nephew and niece in the family. Both of my sisters are ready to go and I cannot wait to hear they are in this wonderful world...well, that they are in this world anyway. I was hoping Brady Michael would have been a leap year baby, but my hopes were shot down when he was not born on the 29th. I will yell at him when he gets older. Kidding...Geez. Can't you take a joke? I am working outside my house cleaning up the yard and getting it ready for the summer. I plan on putting sod down to have a little grass action and make it look nice and neat. I am very excited to have the backyard for my first summer. Random awesomeness. Thank you Stace of Base! February 25, 2008: What a couple of weekends this has been. LAST weekend I was called to perform in "The Last Schwartz" all weekend, but unfortunately could only perform Sunday because of work issues. The performance went very well. I am starting to get comfortable with the show now, and it's good because...I am going to be performing quite a bit more now! The week has been crazy too. I worked the Independent Spirit Awards this weekend. Loads of fun. Always a good time to work with On3 Productions. It seems I will be heading to N-Y-C for about nine days next week. It should be a very lucrative trip, and I am very excited to head back to NY for a few days. I miss it! Oh, I have to throw a shout out to my third fan. I thank you. I was getting a little bugged because I had mentioned prior to having only one fan, but now it is steadily increasing. Hopefully by the end of the year I can reach my goal of five fans! It's a hefty goal, but I think I can do it. But for now, to my three fans: I thank you! On with the... Business: I am happy to report quite a few things that has happened in the course of the eleven days since my last update. First, I shot new headshots with a wonderful classmate and photographer, Jillian Walzer. We could only do a few shots, but they look INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend her. She is very affordable, and I have not seen a bad shoot yet. Check her our at www.myspace.com/jillianwalzer. I have yet to go through all of them, but once I do I will try and throw a few up on the site to get some opinions from my three fans. Secondly, I have been asked by the producers of "The Last Schwartz" to be the permanent replacement for the role of GENE for the next extension. I have accepted the position, and now will be playing the role for the remainder of the show(except for the 7th & 8th of March). The extension is scheduled to last until April 27th. The show times are Friday & Saturday nights at 8 p.m., and Sunday @ 2 p.m. I would love to see you there...my three fans! I am very happy to continue with the show, and grateful to have been working since I moved to L.A. I shot the short film "Shades of Gray" last week. I was cast in this short by Brad Gilmore Casting. I played the role of the security guard(because I am so tough). It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I felt the production was very organized and things got done in a timely manner. I am very excited to be apart of that project, and look forward to seeing the final product. With the writer's strike being over, I thought I would have been called in more. Seeing as I have not been called in AT ALL, I find it rather strange. Call me in peeps...again, I am GOOD! Life: I have been promoted! This week I am beginning training to get behind the bar at Mirabelle. Very exciting. I have been throwing it out to my managers for a month or so now, and they took the bait! I will continue to serve also. I am very talented: I can take your order, go MAKE your drinks, then get your food and serve you. Isn't that incredible? I thought so too. We just finished up the Independent Spirit
Awards. It is always a fun and quick show. This year it
rained though. First time in 14 years it rained. That's
a long time for it not to rain. Then again, we are in L.A.
where it NEVER rains, except this year of course. It has
rained quite a bit here. I was told it was not a rainy place
to live...who ever said that is a LIAR. It is okay though, I
do not mind the rain.
February 14, 2008: Hmmm...well, reading over the blog I wrote this morning does not seem terrible, but apparently I have offended one of my two fans. And I apologize. My earlier blog was no way intended for the two of you to actually FEEL sorry for me, but it was meant more as a joke. As I was writing it I did happen to think of my two very good friends from college, Andrew O'Keefe and Jim Fink. These guysare very close friends of mine, and they are both happily married with children. And when I said "one day I will share Valentine's Day and all the rest of them with a loverly lady, preferably my wife", I was thinking of those two guys and how happy they are with Kristine & Libby, respectively. While today has been a long day, I met three ladies from Utah who were going home to cook their husbands a nice steak dinner. And I thought, yeah that would be nice...give the children to a sitter and have a wonderful dinner with my wife. I am not a big fan of the holiday because I feel like you should not take ONE day and make it for you and your loved one. Everyday should be that day. So, in essence, my apologies to those of you I did offend. Please know it was meant merely as sarcasm. February 14, 2008: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! I wish all the best to all of the couple's out there...but here I am sitting at my computer at 4 o'clock in the morning sitting alone watching "Mike and Mike in the Morning". Well, I hope all of you couples are able to enjoy this day, as I will be enjoying it...ALONE. Oh, feel sorry for me. Eh, nevermind. Not that big of a deal. But one day I will share Valentine's Day and all the rest of them with a loverly lady, preferably my wife. Soon. Anyway, Enough about this silly holiday. But it is a great holiday...isn't it? The ONE day where you are required to take your boyfriend/girlfriend out to dinner and spend some QT together. The rest of the year, it is not required. Thank goodness it is only ONE day out of the year. Otherwise, there is no requirement to spend time with your loved one. Unless it's your anniversary. That might be a good one to remember, or you will be like me sitting at the computer at 4 o'clock in the morning ALONE!!!! Anyway. On with the... Business: My last show for "The Last Schwartz" went very well. It was this past Sunday at 2 p.m. Thank you to all of you who showed up. It was sold out! I was unable to get a "brush-up" rehearsal before the show, so I did not go into the show as confident as I wanted, but I felt it was a solid show nonetheless. I booked my first film! Brad Gilmore Casting called me in for an audition last week to read for the bouncer in "Shades of Gray" which he obviously was casting. And I booked it! We shoot sometime between the 16th & the 22nd. I am very excited for the shoot. I will do a tell all when it happens. But maybe not all...I don't want to let the secret out! HAPPY DAY YESTERDAY! The writer's have reached an agreement with the producers and went back to work yesterday! What great day. The day before, Tuesday, I met with Erica Silverman from April Webster Casting("Lost" & "Criminal Minds"). Erica was very excited to get back to work, and it seemed the workshop went very well. If you are reading this Erica, I look forward to hearing from you and working with you. Again, I AM GOOOOOD! ;) I am shooting new headshots this Saturday with the wonderfully talented Jillian Walzer. I look forward to the shoot and cannot wait to get some new headshots to hire an agent and continue working as an actor. Yeah baby! Life: Well, I am Ca-tholic as my two fans know, so this Lenten season I have decided to give up drinking(except for St. Patrick's Day...I'm Irish, what can I say!). It has been just over a week and it has been going fairly well. Working at Mirabelle has been kinda tough, but I have been able to get through the closing shift nights without drinking. I decided to head back to the gym and shed this winter weight I gained. It was terrible! A couple more weeks, and I should be back to where I was before I moved to LaLa Land. I'm tired. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! February 1: Hey look....less than a week! I would like to thank my two fans who have checked my website and called me to see how I was doing. Last week was a very rough week for me, and I am very thankful for all of my wonderful friends around this country. I look forward to seeing you all when I see you. I'm here at the Official Gift Lounge for the Super Bowl. We are on Day 2 of our three days of being open, and things are going very well. I have been placed at the signing station and doing interviews with the celebrities and players who attend the lounge. My interviewing skills have increased tremendously over the course of the two days. Though I have to say, my hands get a little clammy just before the interview is over, and I get real nervous that my hands are going to be all sweaty when I thank the interviewee and shake their hand. How can I stop that? I have no idea! On with the... Business: I am performing in "The Last Schwartz" again. The performance is February 10th @ 2 p.m. I am very excited to be performing again. The producers of the show have informed me the show will be extended one more time until mid to late April. While informing me of the extension, they offered me to be the replacement for the role of GENE. I am weighing out the options right now and will soon make my decision. Feel free to email me and tell me what you think I should do: john@johnhaegele.com. Other than that, I have not been auditioning this week because I am in Phoenix. I am very excited to get back to L.A. and audition again. CALL ME IN PEEPS...I'm good! Life: This week is much better. I began getting out of my mourning process Saturday night after work. I went to my friend's birthday which helped out a lot. I worked all day Sunday, and had soooo much to do before I left for Phoenix that I have not had the time to think a lot about Gramps. I am still thinking about him, but I do need to realize he will always be with me looking over and watching me. I will do my best to make him proud.
January 25: Ten days later...what a difference ten days make. My Gramps' passed away on the 18th of January. He made it to his 82nd birthday, so we were happy about that, but it is very sad to see him go. I was able to go home to St. Louis(thanks to my wonderful sister Amy) for the weekend and give my Gramps a proper farewell with my family. I got back to L.A. Tuesday and really have not felt the same since. My cousin paid a great tribute to my Gramps in a eulogy called "A Simple Man". He was a simple man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Looking at my life, I wonder why I have not chosen a simple life as well. I have also wondered in the past week if what I am doing is worth it. I love my family: being around them, playing with my nephews, enjoying their company and spending time with them. I feel like I am just blabbing right now, and do not know what I am saying. This business is so freaking hard, I do not know what to do next. I feel like I am doing what I need to do, but in lieu of what happened, I just wonder(yet again) if it is all worth it. What is it I am looking for? What is my life worth right now? I know my self worth is there(as I have been told it should be), yet I do not know what I am doing. I went right back to work at Mirabelle this week. Wednesday was a tough day, but yesterday was not terrible, and I am sure it will get better as the days go on. What I cannot figure out is why I cannot get motivated to do anything during the day before work. It is really mind boggling to me. In New York I was all kinds of active the last few months I was there: working out, working, walking around the city, dating a beautiful woman, auditioning like crazy. I have no idea why that has changed. I am auditioning(just about once a week here, though I did not attend my first audition since being out here today), and it is not like the auditions are not going well. I am feeling confident in the auditions, but I want more. The problem is, I do not know what that is. I have no idea what I want. I want something great with someone. I want to meet the right girl, work as an actor, let everyone know I appreciate them. Enough babbling. On with the... Business: My "interview" with American Gladiators was alright. They wanted me to talk about how I had been in "construction" before. I said okay, but while talking about it on camera, I felt it was a bad idea. I think it would be even better for an actor to go out there and whoop-up on those meatheads. And I could! I was scheduled for an audition this morning but missed it. I have not been feeling well as I have stated in the previous paragraphs, but that really is no excuse. I am heading out to Arizona Tuesday for Super Bowl XLII. By the end of that time, I will be back to where I was when I moved out here and the last few months in NY. I AM HERE L.A., PUT ME TO GOOD USE!!!! Life: Well, not much really...except for those paragraphs above. That is really what is going on. Sometimes we(and when I say we, what I really mean is me) need to just suck it up and use it to move on and make our lives better. I really am going to miss you Gramps. Have fun with Grandma & Uncle Paul, and tell them I say hello! January 15th: Wow...HAPPY NEW YEAR???? Anyway, yeah, Happy New Year...to my one fan. I hope this update treats you well. Sorry I have not updated over the Holiday Season. I am a jerk, I know. On with the... Business: Soooooooooooooooooooo slow. The writer's strike is in full swing, and I am in complete support of all of you writer's out there. I have had a few auditions in the new year, which is good, but I am looking to get out there more. I joined Synergy-LA and it's great. I have had an audition through them the past two weeks. I will be meeting with "American Gladiator's" tomorrow. I performed in "The Last Schwartz" last Saturday(January 12th) to a sold-out house. It felt great to get back on stage in the new year. We received two curtain calls. Two of my four performances we received two curtain calls. I am very pleased to say that. I hope I will be able to perform before the extension is over. Life: Well, can't really complain huh? Last weekend On 3 Productions was out here for the "Stuff You Must..." lounge at the Sofitel Hotel. It was a great event. Access Hollywood donated $100,000 to the Best Buddy's charity. I will be traveling to Arizona in a couple of weeks for Super Bowl XLII. Go Packer's! On kinda a sad note, my Gramps has not been doing well this past week. Last Thursday he suffered two strokes , and unfortunately will not be with us very much longer. The good thing is, he did not miss his birthday and turned 82 Sunday(January 13th). I love my Gramps very much. He lived a wonderful life with his wife Lois(who passed away in August of 2001), worked at Anheuser-Busch for 60+ years only missing three days of work, had nine wonderful children, thirty-seven talented grandchildren, and who knows how many great-grandchildren?!!! Gramps, you are one of a kind and I will never forget you. Have fun with Grandma and tell her I say hello. I love you Gramps. November 25th: Look at this...updating my website in less than a week. Impressive, I know. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got all of your Holiday shopping done. And when I say all of you all, I really mean my one fan. And I know you got it done because I already talked to you about it. So, good job. On with the... Business: My second performance of "The Last Schwartz" (November 23rd) went very well. I have heard my fellow cast mates say to me, "It has been a breeze working with you. We never have to worry about you knowing what to do." The show was a sell out. I want to thank all of my classmates and friends who came out to support me. My mommy and gramma were also on hand to see my performance. I am very excited to perform again SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8TH @ 8 p.m. The show has also been extended after the new year for January and February. I am very excited for this and hope to perform in those months so you can all see me! Meanwhile, I am working diligently on sending out headshots/cover letters to all of you agents. LISTEN! I'm seeking commercial & Theatrical representation. I have been working very hard in class, and I PROMISE you will not be disappointed working with me. Life: I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and hope all of you had one too. Like I said before, my mommy and gramma came to visit for the show, and they were able to come on Thanksgiving Day. We walked over to the "Orphan Thanksgiving" Lauren held. It was a great time. They were in for less than 48 hours, but we still had a blast. We went to the beach, sang Karaoke, and were able to spent some great QT together. November 20th: Well, the weeks just fly by. My best friend came to visit, I held my housewarming party, and I performed for the first time in L.A. Not too shabby. AND, I'm meeting people. On with the... Business: The first performance of "The Last Schwartz" went very well I think. There was a house of about 22. I am very excited to perform again THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 23RD @ 8PM. I have been added to perform on SATURDAY DECEMBER 8TH as well. Get your tickets early, as all the Saturday's have been selling out, and that is the last weekend before we reopen after the holidays. Life: My housewarming party was a very big success. I want to thank all of you for joining me in warming my house. I am very grateful for the people I have come in contact with out here, and it has helped my transition to L.A. be an easy one. My mommy and gramma are visiting this weekend for Turkey Day and to see my show. They will be able to see my house for the first time. I am very happy to see them.
November 6th: Hey, look...I am updating quicker than a month. How do I even say that? Anyway, the Evite is out for my housewarming party, I am making plans to go home for the holidays, and I got my second (technically my first) performance date for "The Last Schwartz". I'm stoked. By the way, if you click on anything with a line under it, it will direct you to either the tickets webpage or where the theatre is located. Yeah, I know...I'm pretty impressive with the updates on my website. No need to mention it! On with the... Business: As I said previously in the paragraph above, I now know the dates I am performing in "The Last Schwartz". They are: Thursday, November 15th & November 23rd. Both performances are at 8 p.m. and I highly recommend getting tickets ASAP. It is a great show. If you don't believe me, just check out one of the reviews... http://www.calendarlive.com/stage/reviews/604415,0,5439401,reviews.event and to get discounted tickets go to the website http://www.goldstar.com/events/hollywood-ca/the-last-schwartz.html As I am very excited about these performances, I am troubled with the WGA strike happening right now. I stand by all my peers in the WGA and hope you will be able to resolve this issue in a timely manner, and support us as we will go through these same negotiations next summer. I plan on attending picket lines in support once I know where you are. Life: Well, can't complain really. My bluetooth device started working again. Very excited about that. I was in Target yesterday registering for my housewarming party, and on the phone with my good friend Andy O'Keefe, and maybe talking a little too loud, and said a bad word in front of a mom and her daughter. My apologies to everyone for talking too loud on that thing. But I love it and very happy to have it back. Currently I am planning my trip back home for Christmas. I hope to spend more than three days there as I love my family and three days with my wonderful nephews is never enough. I am also looking forward to seeing the rest of my family. Well, enough for now. On with the line memorization!
October 29th: Wow. An entirely way to long to update in this busy little world of Hollywood, I know. But here is another update for my one fan. And I thank you :)... I am officially in my new house November 1st(Wednesday). The house is coming together. I now have a bed, couch, desk, and Pilates ball. Still looking for a television, glasses, cups, silverware, and much more but hopefully that will be coming soon. I painted the walls, and let me tell ya, they look terrific. I am hosting a housewarming party the 16th of November and will be registered at Target. For my one fan, please visit target.com in the next few days to see if there is anything you would like to contribute to my housewarming. On with the... Business: As I recently moved into my new house and visited St. Louis, I have not updated the site for quite awhile. My apologies. However, I am here now and would like to report I will be performing in "The Last Schwartz" as Gene November 23rd. The play is being held at the Zephyr Theatre (7456 Melrose, between Gardner and N Vista St.). It is the day after Thanksgiving, and would love for all of you who will be in town, and are able to, join me while I make my stage debut in Los Angeles. Life: Things are going well. Mirabelle is going well. I am working Wednesday (Halloween), and invite any of you to join me for some spooky festivities! Not only for Wednesday, but I also work Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. For all of you industry people who want to have a great dinner and check out a new client...come by Mirabelle(8768 W. Sunset) and see what the world is missing. I would like to give a shout out to my nephew Cameron on his 9th birthday. Happy Birthday buddy! Wish I was there to celebrate your birthday. Can't wait to see you over the Holidays!
September 26th: What a week. I found an apartment last week. Now, I am moving into a bungalow! I take class in North Hollywood (for you readers who do not know where North Hollywood is, it's just north of Hollywood), and my teacher had a neighbor (who I performed my scene with in the showcase I was in when I first moved out here) who lived right next door. Well, he ended up moving out of the bungalow/house, so I decided to snag it. It's great. I have my own little back yard, kitchen, bathroom. Yeah...it's pretty sweet. I put up some new shots from my photo shoot a couple of weeks ago. Let me know what you think. I think they are pretty good. Still haven't decided which one I want to use for my headshot, but it will come. Business: I received another call from Michael Donovan Casting yesterday. As I was scheduled to fly to St. Louis to visit my gramps, I got the call for the audition and rescheduled my flight. I am very excited to be auditioning for Michael Donovan again. The show I am auditioning for is called "Love Sweet Love". More later about the audition.
September 14th, 2007: I will be making more entries on a regular basis, promise. So my one loyal fan who keeps checking my website, the updates will be for you! It seems I have been able to update the site every 2-3 weeks. I am going to do my best to update it every week. How does that sound? Good? Good. Quite a bit has happened since my last update. My nephews birthday card was a big success and they are now a year older and enjoying their first year, kindergarten. That's a weird word huh? Kindergarten. I wonder where that came up. I must look that up. BUSINESS: I was cast as an understudy for the role of GENE in the play "The Last Schwartz". In the meantime, I also auditioned for "Tom, Dick and Harry" which Michael Donovan also cast. I received a callback for that as well, and was in the running for HARRY. Unfortunately I was not cast in "Tom, Dick and Harry". I am very excited to be apart of "The Last Schwartz"(TLS). Rehearsals start this Sunday, and I will have more updates as rehearsal takes place. What else...oh, I shot new headshots last week, and I am very excited to get those back and send them to all of you wonderful industry people. Meanwhile, do not for get to consider me for upcoming projects. Two callbacks in less than a month? I mean, really. Better hurry, or I will start to be all booked up! LIFE: I bought a car, found an apartment, and working at Mirabelle restaurant on Sunset Blvd. It is quite the establishment,. If you are in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend you come visit me so I can take care of you. The car I bought is a 1991 Acura, and it is a great reliable car. I have had it for almost three weeks now. The apartment I just got is a great deal, and I am now ready to rock-and-roll in L.A. August 22, 2007: It's two days away from my twin nephews birthday. I asked the younger one, Reid, what he wanted for his birthday. He said "money". I said, "Okay, how much do you want?". He said, "Twenty dollars". I said, "I think I can help out. Maybe I will be able to throw $3.50 your way. Now when I give you the check, cash it immediately and take 15% for yourself and send the remaining amount to daddy for your savings." I hope he likes it. Not really where I wanted to go with it, but it will do for now. I had a real good audition with Michael Donovan Casting last week for "The Last Schwartz", and obtained a callback. I thought I had a really good couple of auditions, and I thank Michael Donovan for the opportunity, and hope he continues to think about me for upcoming projects he is casting. August 6th, 2007: Due to unfortunate circumstances, I was unable to continue with "Neva~Eh: Prince of Black Angels". I wish Big Time Studios and the whole production team the best of luck with the run. I have been auditioning quite a bit since moving out here, and things are looking swell. Did I really just use the word "swell". I guess I did. But still, it is definitely looking swell out here. However, I need a J-O-B people. Any job will do for now. Day job, night job. ANYTHING. Hook it up peeps. If anyone knows of anyone who could help me, I would really appreciate anything at this moment. Oh, I also need a place to stay. Little things, you know... July 17th, 2007: Well, the showcase is over. What a great success. I was brilliant. I am kidding. But it really was a great success. We had a lot of industry people there, and the showcase overall ran really smooth. I am very sad it is over, and for the two days since it was over, I did not know what I was going to do with myself. I had an audition yesterday. It was for a musical called "Neva-eh: Prince of Black Angels". So I auditioned and received a callback for today, where I had to dance. I went in today and booked a role! I will be playing the role of JOY and understudying LUCIFER/WARRIUS. I am very excited to play this role as well as understudy the other roles. I am still very interested in auditioning for film/TV, that is my main reason why I am out here. Kinda ironic I booked a musical role here as opposed to when I was in New York huh? Well, I thought it was anyway. Until next time, don't forget to consider me (I'm very good!). July 10th, 2007: It is official. I have been in L.A. now for two weeks. I really do not know what is official, but I do know that it IS official. Hey, the showcase is this weekend. Very exciting. I hope all of you can make it, if you are in the area. I had an audition the first day I moved out here, but have not had any auditions since. The audition I had went well, I thought, but apparently I did not fit the part of a 35 year-old dad. I understand. I have submitted myself quite frequently on Actor's Access out here. I am in the process of joining Now Casting also. My first week I was out here, I sent out about 20-25 hardcopy headshots/resumes to some agents and soap casting directors. Yesterday I sent out another 21 to casting directors. Bite people, bite! I'm goooooooooood! June 20th, 2007: Well, here I am. Back in New York from my cross-country trip which took me to Los Angeles for the Daytime Emmy Awards, then to Toronto for the Much Music Video Awards. As it is the 20th of June, I am leaving New York for Los Angeles yet again, this time for my career and to perform in a showcase on the 13th & 14th of July. I am very excited for the showcase, and it will be a great start to my move out to Los Angeles. June 7th, 2007: Well, here we go. What a crazy month it has been already. I have decided to move out to Los Angeles. I am flying out to Los Angeles June 12th for the Daytime Emmy Awards, and will be there until the 15th, where I will flying to Toronto for the Much Music Video Awards. I will be in New York for less than a week, then head out to Los Angeles. I have already started submitting to Los Angeles breakdowns, and look forward to booking auditions.
While there, I am very excited to inform you that I will be performing in The Premier Showcase produced by Shea Broom, and directed by Lauren Patrice Nadler.
